Return & Refund Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
1. Cancellation by Traveler
We understand plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to all parties:
- • At least 1 week before due date: 50% of the deposited amount is refundable. Alternatively, the full amount paid can be extended/credited towards any feature trip.
- • Less than 1 week before due date: No refunds are issued.
- • Extended Trips: If you choose to extend your money to a future trip, it cannot be refunded later. It will remain on your account balance.
Why we have this policy: Once a trip is booked, our team immediately begins securing your reservations—including hotel rooms, transportation, and dining arrangements. Because these vendors lock in our payments in advance, late cancellations result in unrecoverable losses for TravelCam. By offering a 50% refund or a 100% travel credit for cancellations made at least a week ahead, we aim to provide flexibility while ensuring the financial stability of our upcoming trips.
2. Cancellation by TravelCam
If TravelCam cancels a trip due to weather, safety concerns, or insufficient enrollment, travelers will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an equivalent trip at no extra cost.
3. Rescheduling
Travelers may extend or reschedule their trip to any feature trip if the request is made at least 1 week before the due date. The full amount is credited to your account balance, but cannot be refunded as cash once extended.
4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method (MTN MoMo, Orange Money, or bank transfer).
5. Travel Credits
In some cases, TravelCam may offer travel credits instead of refunds. Travel credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issuance and can be applied to any future trip.
6. No-Show & Punctuality Policy
We strictly adhere to our set departure times (e.g., 8:00 PM). If you are not present at the departure point when the vehicle leaves, or if you are left behind during any mid-trip stops because you did not return on time, TravelCam cannot offer any partial or full refunds. The trip will proceed without you, and you will forfeit 100% of your booking funds.
7. Ticket Transferability
If you are unable to attend a trip, you may transfer your booking to a friend or family member up to 72 hours before the departure date. An administrative fee may apply. Please contact support immediately to process name and detail changes.
8. Force Majeure & Medical Emergencies
In the event of an unpredictable 'Act of God' or a personal medical emergency preventing your attendance, TravelCam's standard cancellation policies still apply, as vendor costs (hotels, transport, food) are secured and paid for in advance. We highly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive Travel Insurance prior to booking to protect against unforeseen last-minute cancellations. TravelCam is happy to provide any official invoices or cancellation documents required to support your personal insurance claim.
